The Importance of Laps

It appears that I've got it made in this photo, right? Nice chair, cushy seat, what could be better? Well, I'd much prefer to be on a lap. If I'm not sitting on a human's lap I feel lost, insecure even.

Let me tell you what I know about laps and why I highly recommend them:

1) All laps are warm

2) Some laps are fuzzy

3) I've heard that some laps are bony, so if you have the choice between a plump human and a skinny human, choose the plump one

4) Laps make me feel safe and I never want to live without one

5) Mom's are usually softer than dad's

My wish is for every dog to have a nice, warm lap to snuggle into, like me!

Tiffany and the Munchkins said...: We prefer laps also. They are super comfy...but if we can't have a lap, we will opt for a blankie. Mom always leaves blankies around for us to cuddle in.

My mom rescued me on February 9, 2003 when I was about 1 year old. A nice couple found me running loose at a busy intersection and brought me to the emergency clinic. My mom happened to work there at that time and we became instant soul mates.

When I first arrived I was met with two annoying, beastly brothers. The biggest beast left for the Rainbow Bridge in 2008. But then we adopted an orphan girl named Izzy who thinks she rules the roost. NEWS FLASH: I am the pack leader and do not put up with any crap from my subordinates. It's a tough job, but someone has to be in charge. And it should be me!

Izzy's Bio

Hi. My name is Izabella Grace, but you can call me Izzy. My littermates and I were abandoned suddenly and tragically at one week old in June, 2006. A nice family brought us into the emergency clinic severely dehydrated, hoping we could be saved. Unfortunately, my siblings did not survive, but look out world, because I did!

Even though I weighed less than a pound, I fought hard to live and was lucky enough to be fostered by a very caring nurse named Amy from the animal ER. After 7 weeks, my new mom and dad took me into their home where I was introduced to two enormous beasts and one chi brother.

I am Daddy's little princess which affords me many luxuries. I've got him wrapped around my little dewclaw.
